2.1 Creel classification

2.1.1 According to the unwinding method of the package yarn According to the unwinding method of the package yarn, the creel can be divided into two types: axial unwinding type and tangential unwinding type. The warping bobbin for axial unwinding is a conical bobbin, and the bobbin does not need to be rotated when the warp yarn is unwinding axially, which is conducive to the improvement of warping speed and warping quality, and can increase the packaging capacity of the bobbin, so it is widely used. The warping bobbin for tangential unwinding is a bobbin with edges, and the bobbin needs to be rotated around the spindle base to unwind the warp yarn. Due to the large rotational inertia of the bobbin, the yarn is suddenly tensed when unwinding starts, and the tension increases sharply; The thread is slack and the tension drops sharply. The quality of warping in this way is poor, and the capacity of the package is also limited, so it is not suitable for high-speed warping.

2.1.2 According to the method of changing bobbins, warping creels can be divided into continuous warping and discontinuous warping. The continuous warping creel is also called the double creel. Each yarn drawn from the double creel is supplied alternately by two bobbins (working bobbins and preparatory bobbins). The yarn tails of the working bobbins are spliced together, and when the yarn on the working bobbin is unwound, the preparatory bobbin automatically enters the unwinding working state and becomes the working bobbin. The tube changing work of this warping method is carried out during the continuous warping production process, and the tube does not need to be stopped for changing the tube. Each yarn drawn from the intermittent warping creel is supplied by a bobbin. When the yarn on the bobbin is used up, the machine must be stopped to change the bobbin, which is also called the intermittent warping method. The discontinuous warping creel is divided into two types: fixed and movable. Each yarn drawn from the former is supplied by a group of bobbins on the creel. When the yarn on the bobbins is used up, the bobbins are manually changed one by one. , the stop time is longer, which has a significant impact on the efficiency of the warping machine; while each yarn drawn from the latter is alternately supplied by two groups of creels (working creel and preparatory creel), and the bobbins on the working creel are withdrawn When the winding is completed, the warping machine stops for a short time. Through manual or automatic operation, the preparatory creel and the working creel are exchanged. The preparatory creel enters the unwinding working position and becomes the working creel. The original working creel exits the working position. Replaced with new full creels, converted to prep creels. 1) Conducive to high-speed warping. On the double creel, when the yarn jumps from the working bobbin to the standby bobbin, the warp tension changes suddenly, and the sudden change increases with the increase of warping speed. Usually, the yarn tension increases by more than 1 times, causing yarn breakage.

2) It can reduce the bobbins produced by reversing varieties, while the double creel produces a large amount of bobbins when reversing varieties.

3) It is beneficial to reduce the area occupied by the creel. In the case that the winding diameter of the bobbin is the same as the number of warping threads, the use of a double creel will increase the length of the bobbin by more than 1 time.

4) It is conducive to uniform warping sheet yarn tension. Since the movable creel is shorter, the difference in length of the yarns drawn from different areas of the creel is reduced, so that the difference in tension between the yarns is also reduced. At the same time, under the condition of winding and fixed length, the unwinding diameters of each bobbin are equal, which is beneficial to the uniform yarn tension.   

5) It is beneficial to improve the efficiency of warping machinery. The length of the creel is shortened, and the distance that workers travel when dealing with end-breaks (especially when dealing with yarn breaks in the rear row) is also shortened, the downtime for end-break treatment is reduced, and the mechanical efficiency is improved.

2.1.3 According to the shape of the creel, the creel can be divided into two types: V-shaped creel and rectangular creel (rectangular-V shape is also a rectangle). After the yarn leaves the tension device on the V-shaped creel, it is directly led to the telescopic reed of the warping machine, which brings convenience for changing the can and breaking the end, and makes the yarn drawn from different areas of the creel more sensitive to the yarn guide channel. The difference of the friction enveloping angle is very small, which is beneficial to the uniform tension of the sheet yarn. Due to the weak friction of the yarn guide, it is especially suitable for high-speed warping with low tension. In addition, the process parameters of the same row of tensioners on the V-shaped creel can be unified, which is convenient for centralized management. Its main disadvantage is that it occupies a large area. Although the length direction is 20% shorter than that of the rectangular creel, the width is more than doubled. The characteristics of the rectangular creel are just the opposite of the V-shaped creel.

2.2 Several new types of creels

2.2.1 Circular chain creel The circular chain creel is shown in Figure 1. The characteristic of this kind of creel is that it is V-shaped, and there are a pair of endless chains on both sides of the installed creel. The outer working position is transported to the inner can changing position, and the pre-loaded full can is sent to the working position. There is a large space inside the creel holder, which can store bobbins and conveying tools. The use of this creel can greatly save the time for changing cans. The endless chain creel is beneficial to improve the uniform tension of the warped sheet yarn, and is very suitable for use in high-speed warping with low tension.

2.2.2 Segmented rotary creel The segmented rotary creel is shown in Figure 2. The creel uses three rows of bobbin spindle columns as a rotary unit. Start the motor 1 when parking, and drive the worm and worm gear pair through the chain

2.2.3 Combined car creel As shown in Figure 3, the combined car creel consists of several movable trolleys 1 and a frame. Wheels are installed under the car and can move freely. A batch of bobbins required for warping is loaded on several movable trolleys, and each movable trolley has bobbin spindle seats on both sides, and the number of rows and layers of bobbins accommodated is different, generally it can hold about 80-100 bobbins. After the yarn is drawn out from the bobbin, it is guided to the machine head through the yarn guide porcelain plate 2 and the tension frame 3. The number of movable trolleys for each creel can be selected according to actual needs, but the number of spare movable trolleys should be at least equal to the number of working trolleys. Before changing the cans, push the trolley full of cans to the side of the creel, and when the yarn on the creel is used up, start the chain loading and unloading device, withdraw the trolley with the bobbins from the rear of the creel frame, and put The full-can trolley is loaded into the working position.
